Special moments were working with and getting to know all Global Finals Planning Team (2nd last). They made the event very memorable. We had great great fun time during the event.

And The Winner Is ...

On November 12, the team from Shah Alam, Selangor, Malaysia won top honors at the bi-annual global finals of the Team Rally competition. Each year since 1996, Johnson Controls employee teams from around the world have participated in Team Rally / Teamwork In Action events. In this program, teams develop creative presentations to share their best practices in cost reduction, quality, timing, delivery, customer satisfaction and productivity. Truly, we were relieved after winning the People Choice Awards - Best Practices Shareability. However when Puebla team won the "Most Team Spirit" after winning "Best Presentation", we asked ourselves,

"Is it possible to win THAT title"...

Here's our "character" line up after REAL last practise outside Fantasia Ballroom J...about 7:40 am.
We always do this first round before the real one because we have track records of doing it perfectly only on SECOND round.

Welcome Dinner, 11 Nov 2006

Global Finals Welcome Reception at Nutcracker Room was at 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

Special VVIP was Mickey !
All teams took photo with Mickey.
Mickey was friendly, of course, and kind of nervous actually.

Our team had a "mission" to ensure every one remembers our tag line "Malaysia Boleh" , and the mission began that evening...

Our team arrived much earlier at the ball room , we sang some songs, and made noise with our little "gendang"...
Tried to be on same excitement level with the Canadian team and Puebla Team. As expected Indian team brought along their musical attractions..
(Recall that last year at AP Team Rally, we were not sure what to do during welcome dinner ! )

Can't hide this - That night our team had rice for first time after 4 days leaving our country. Every body was happy and fully charged to perform the next day...

10 Nov - Practise by the Pool Side

10th Nov evening :
We met for some hours to recall our scenes timing and musical cues..had couple of runs, without props of course.

Here are our latest photos, members are blessed with good health..and we have started to miss those special ones .

After some experience of Disney Downtown, we went back to Contemporary resorts in the afternoon for the props checking.
Then to Port Orleans Resort Hotel...planned for a practise in the evening.

10 Nov - Props checking at Contemporary Resorts

Back to work..
After having good rest on Thursday 9th Nov, we went to Disney Contemporary Resorts in early morning on 10th Nov to confirm our props condition.
That is the location of the grand event, 2006 Team Rally Global Finals !
From Port Orleans Resort Hotel, we took a bus to "Magic Kingdom"..then a monorail to Contemporary Resorts..about 30 minutes trip.

We are grateful, our props seemed in good condition...(last photo)handled by good hands, honest personnel of DHL, shipping agent, and the Packaging Center of the hotel.
We had to come back in the afternoon to open boxes and inspect props. However, due to partially set-up ballroom ,we couldn't do through inspection of the items.
While waiting for the boxes to be transferred to Ballroom, we took bus to Downtown Disney - officially for meal and sight-seeing...

On Friday 9th November we checked in..and rest for whole afternoon and night.
We waited for some time for rooms to be ready..so that was when we took photos. Other members not in photo means that were either sleeping at the Food & Snack area, or they were walking through the resort...

We stay at this resort till 12th Nov, the rehearsal day at Contemporary Resorts.
